RESUME

Anchor 1
Teaching Philosophy

I believe that a classroom should be a safe and welcoming environment for each student that passes through. Each and every student has something unique that they can bring to their own education. In order to let these children thrive, the teacher needs to provide a stimulating and rich educational environment in which every student feels comfortable to share their thoughts and ideas as a way to grow both academically and socially. It is imperative that the teacher holds each student accountable for his or her education. As a way to accomplish this, the teacher should provide students with the knowledge and materials to reach and even surpass goals, both personal and academically. As the teacher, I will implement hands on learning, along with reaching each of the different learning times prevalent in the classroom. I will build on classroom community and hold my students to a high level of achievement. As a teacher, it is my job to educate the future leaders and make them as well rounded as I can manage. My classroom will be an open place full of compassion and love.

Teaching
McKinney, Texas

Fall 2018-Spring 2019

For Student Teaching, I was placed in McKinney ISD at one of the best ranked schools in the district! I was able to soak up SO much valuable information through the process of PLC meetings, staff meetings, Professional Development, RTI progress meetings, ARD's/504's and so much more! I was placed in an upper grade level (4th) and a lower grade level (Kindergarten) and will forever be thankful that I was able to experience such a range of grade levels.

Kindergarten

I was placed with the most welcoming mentor teacher that gave her classroom and 19 precious students over to me! I taught them almost every day I was with them, and got valuable feedback on how to make myself a better educator. Attached below is a letter of recommendation from Ashley Jackson, one of the most influential people that I have met on my journey of becoming a teacher!

4th Grade

I was placed with one of the most energetic and warm spirited teachers I have ever met for my 4th grade experience. I taught writing to our homeroom, and three blocks of math a day, bringing the total number of students I was lucky enough to learn from 54! I was able to improve my small group skills, along with doing a whole group numeracy warm up every day! Attached below in a letter of recommendation from Allison Way, someone that I will always turn to for advice no matter what the situation!
